Jap Bamboo
“The strongest people are the ones who choose to hold the line.”
Hold The Line is a collection of real-life stories about love, loyalty, perseverance, faith, and personal growth. Through soulful melodies and modern trap soul production, Jap Bamboo reflects on the lessons learned from relationships, success, family, and life’s challenges.
Every song carries a message of standing firm, trusting the journey, and embracing the next chapter — because the strongest people are the ones who choose to hold the line.

Writer Bios
Derrick Deniro
Writer
Born in Lakeland, Florida, and now based in Pattaya, Thailand, Derrick “Derrick Deniro” Goodman is a songwriter, producer, creative consultant, and CEO of Still Ballin Digital. His musical roots began in hip-hop, influenced by Florida radio and legendary DJs including Jam Pony Express and Uncle Al. Formerly recording as Cat Daddy, Derrick released an EP in 2002, created music for Icehouse Beer commercials through Miller Brewing Company, and wrote a song for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Today, his work spans hip-hop and R&B, writing and developing music for Jap Bamboo, Dasia Deniro, Suphia Rae, and Diego Deniro. He has written or produced projects including From A Boss Eye View, as well as songs such as “Forever Money,” “Confidence Speaks for Itself,” and “Everyday Saturday.” Drawing from decades of life and music experience, Derrick specializes in songwriting, ghostwriting, artist development, creative consulting, promotion, and turning original ideas into records.
O.G. Rico
Writer
Miami-born with roots in Trinidad and Tobago, Rico developed his musical foundation in the church before spending decades on the road as a performer, songwriter, and entertainer. A natural storyteller, he has a gift for turning real-life experiences, conversations, memories, and everyday moments into music people can feel and relate to. His catalog includes “Hold The Line,” “Painful Death,” “Expendable Love,” and “Snow Turn to Fire.” His work with Jap Bamboo on Hold The Line marked a new chapter in his creative journey, pushing him to dig deeper into his own experiences and become more intentional about the emotion behind every song. For Rico, music is more than entertainment—it’s storytelling rooted in life, experience, and authenticity.
